Pooh's Story...
Pooh is a handsome 7 year old purebred American Eskimo Dog that was recently adopted and returned. He was returned because he was barking at the young grandchildren when they came to visit. He didn't like their loud noises and fast movements. He is very good with his house-training and takes treats gently. Pooh loves to go outside and walks well on a leash. He is a very sweet and gentle boy that will be a wonderful family pet in a home with older children or an adult household with no cats. Pooh lived with another American Eskimo for a short time with no problems.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pooh, a Elyria American Eskimo Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Eskimo Dog for sale in Elyria, or seeking a American Eskimo Dog dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Eskimo Dog breeders who help with American Eskimo Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
