Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lucky the tricolored coonhound was found by a neighbor of a Dogworks volunteer in October 2014. He appeared to have been abandoned: underweight, covered in fleas, dermatitis, sores on his feet. He needed veterinary care right away. He was fearful and needed lots of reassurance but remained gentle through all this hardship. After volunteers searched unsuccessfully for Lucky's owner for more than a month, Dogworks accepted him into rescue. Lucky is a young boy who has been working hard on his house manners. He knows basic commands and is making progress on leash training. He is so proud of himself for sitting and laying down on command. He is crate trained and house broken. Lucky is an active dog but can settle down after a walk or a good run around the backyard. He loves having his own chew toys and blanket to snuggle. He is food motivated and loves playing with the other dogs in his foster home. He is great with young children. He loves playing "chase" with his foster mom's toddler. He is a great cuddler and is ready for snuggles all the time. He would be a great addition to any family. Dogworks requires a fully fenced yard for all adopted hounds. Adoption fee is $160. Lucky has received all necessary veterinary care, including neuter, vaccine update, heartworm check, and G.I. de-worming.
