My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you looking for a sweet, cuddly, beta beagle? Then I'm your boy! There are a few things you should know about me; I really like to play with toys and de-stuff the soft ones, I would rather be with my two legged family than outside in the yard sniffing, I'm friendly, cute, physically fit at 28 pounds (could even gain a pound), about 8 years old and easy going. What more could a family want?

I do like to go for walks and my foster parents use a Sporn harness on me because I do like to pull - actually foster dad called me sled dog a few times. What surprised foster mom is when she takes me for a walk I don't seem to do the sniff - walk - sniff - walk thing, I just like to walk. Not to say I don't like to sniff, but I let her get some exercise in when we are out.

Some more stuff you should know about me; great in the car, sleep all night long without a peep, good in a crate, house trained, love attention, good with other dogs, great with people, like to take naps and yes, I would benefit from some training so I can learn more than sit. I'm living with two other beagles, the girl beagle is older and she kind of likes me because she doesn't mind when I walk up to her and stand real close. Now the boy dog that lives here is rather spoiled so when he growls at me I just walk away. I think he is starting to like me because he doesn't growl at me much anymore. Guess that's because I am such a likeable guy.

Note from Foster Mom: Barnie is a very sweet loveable, cuddly beagle boy. He is content to play
with the dog toys, sit next to me on the couch or lie in his dog bed. Barnie is crated during the day while we are at work and during the night and does very well alone. He loves to be talked to, held, hugged, petted and in general appreciated. Barnie is a great family pet and gets along with men and women. If you would appreciate Barnie's special qualities, please complete an application for adoption.
