Oscar Meyer's Story...
Oscar Meyer is a wonderful 8 yr old, 20 pound dachshund that is nearly perfect in every way. He is reliably house trained, excellent with other dogs, he follows verbal commands and loves human attention. Oscar Meyer walks nicely on leash and is great on car rides. He will sleep in his bed, but, if invited to sleep in the human bed he will not hesitate. He is a little slow to warm up to some people and he has not had a lot of exposure to children. Oscar Meyer succesfully lived with a cat. He barks at strangers, but, will quiet when told its ok. Oscar Meyer will make a wonderful, dependable companion to anyone that will give him love, attention and belly rubs. Oscar Meyer's ideal COLORADO home will have a fenced yard and a human companion home most of the time to take him for daily walks and play with him. No young children. To meet this sweet, handsome dachshund please fill out an adoption application at www.c2cdr.org. Oscar's adoption fee is $150.00, his loyalty and companionship are priceless. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oscar Meyer, a Louisville Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Louisville, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Louisville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Louisville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Louisville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Louisville paves the way for another one to be saved.
