08/2015 UPDATE: Sweet Hoover has been diagnosed with Cushings. He is doing great and we do not anticipate any changes from his current happy self. Hoover is being well managed with his monthly medication which runs about $65.00/month.
Hoover is a very active senior dachshund. He is around 14-15 years old, weighs 11 pounds, house trained, loves to play ball, takes naps, loves to snuggle, does not bark much, good around other dogs, not cat tested.

Hoover likes to take walks, go for car rides and like most of these wonderful dogs he just likes to be loved and paid attention to. Hoover and his buddy Kirby were apparently dumped in the foothills. We are not sure how long they were on their own, but, they were a bit thin. Kirby was recently adopted by his Forever Home, now Hoover is waiting for someone to find him and take care of him in the great manner he deserves for the rest of his life.

If Hoover's monthly medication costs would be a strain on your budget then please consider becoming a friend of Hoover's and make a donation to him to cover the cost of even one month of medication. This can easily be done by going to the Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue website at c2cdr.org and clicking on the "Donate" button.

Hoover is fully vetted. His adoption fee is $150.00, his unconditional devotion and companionship are priceless.

About Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue is an all volunteer organization dedicated to rescuing and re-homing dachshunds and dachshund mixes. We rely completely on donations, fundraisers and adoption fees to cover all of the vetting expenses for each animal brought into rescue. Much of the time the vetting expense far out weighs the adoption fee of the dogs. Members in each state do fundraising activities in an individual and team effort to help raise funds for the organization. We are always looking for good foster homes and for volunteers to help in our mission.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All of our available dogs can be found on the www.c2cdr.org website as well as the www.adoptapet.com website.

Our Adoption Process...

All adoptions require an application which can be found at our website www.c2cdr.org. The adoption fee structure can also be found on the website. If a dog that is being adopted requires out of state transport it is the financial responsibility of the adopter to to cover the costs and make the transportation arrangements. Every dog brought into rescue is placed in a loving foster home and is completely vetted prior to adoption. It is our goal to have any adoption be the forever home for each dog.
