My name is Joy!

Border Collie/German Shepherd Dog Mix Dog for adoption in Stafford, Virginia - Joy

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Joy's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, not good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Joy's Story...
Joy was rescued from the shelter just in the nick of time in late December! She and her beautiful puppies were pulled when her pups were just days old. All her pups have found wonderful new furrrever homes...and now it's Joy's turn. Even though she was a mother she still has a ton of puppy in her. She loves to play with squeky toys and chew bones. She also loves to snuggle. She is housetrained and needs a family with energy to help her burn off her energy. Joy needs to be an "only child" because she doesn't get along well with other dogs. If you think you'd like to make this gorgeous gal a permanent member of your family, please contact PAL for more information on adoption policies and procedures.

Note: Due to our requirement for a successful home visit prior to final approval of the adoption application, all adoptions are limited to the local Northern VA area

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Joy, a Stafford Border Collie/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Stafford, or seeking a Border Collie/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Stafford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Stafford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Stafford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Border Collie/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Stafford paves the way for another one to be saved.
