My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ruby - Sheltie/Cattle Dog Mix

Ruby was a little shy at first but she warmed up quickly and as sweet as they come. She really loves attention and is a very affectionate and playful little girl. She listens very well and although she can jump, she doesn't have the energy level of a cattle dog and would not be much in an agility test. She does like to play fetch and going for walks and loves playing with the other dogs in her foster home.

Ruby is a very unassuming little girl and is easily turned away if you don't reciprocate her affection. She really needs a family that would love her and enjoy playing fetch, taking her for walks and generally just loving her up and making her part of the family. She is a very good little girl and likes to play with toys and run around in investigating the back yard. When you meet her you can see that she is still reserved in her dealings with people but there is a social butterfly just waiting to emerge (she is taking lessons from Tiny who is also in the same foster home)

Ruby is a small dog weighing less than 30 lbs and has a very unique look to her. She has the colouring of a cattle dog but is much finer boned and gentler in her approaches to people. She is definitely appreciative of any attention she gets and would be an ideal companion for a family with children old enough to enjoy playing with her.
