Cocoa's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, and not good with kids.

Cocoa's Story...
I am a male Maltese/Dachshund mix. I am about 5 years old and weigh 19 lbs. I am neutered, heartworm negative, current on shots, micro-chipped and on flea/heartworm prevention. My adoption is $250. I am a very sweet and loving boy but if grabbed at or frightened, I might nip. Therefore, I would do best in a home without any small kids! I rescued from Animal Control where I was given up by my owners because they were moving. I was so scared there, it is a good thing that I was rescued.
Please email for an application. A New Beginning Pet Rescue, Inc. only accepts cash. We do not have the ability to accept credit or debit cards and no longer accept checks. The pets are available to be seen at our adoption events on weekends at the Petsmart in Altamonte Springs on Saturday from 11-4:30 and Sunday from 12-4:30.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cocoa, a Orlando Maltese/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Dachshund for sale in Orlando, or seeking a Maltese/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Orlando.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Orlando already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Orlando breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Dachshund breeders who help with Maltese/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Orlando paves the way for another one to be saved.
