Sammy's Story...
Sammy is a neutered male Jack/Dachshund. He is approx. 2-3 yrs old and weighs 20 lbs. Describing this little guy is a bit tricky. Imagine short legs on a Jack Russell that works out a lot. If he sounds cute, you are right! This boy is muscle bound and would be a great outdoor activity partner. He has a great personality and loves people. We are currently taking applications on Sammy and he will be available 11/5/14.

Act quickly to adopt Sammy. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sammy, a Conway Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund for sale in Conway, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Conway.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Conway already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Conway breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Conway paves the way for another one to be saved.
