Betty Boop's Story...
Betty's eyes are as BIG as her curiosity. She's a fun kitten, a tad over 2 pounds. She has made fast friends with her new foster sister, Julia, and loves galloping around (and causing as much trouble as possible!). That's what kittens are supposed to do and she does it well! She is also practicing her head perching (on YOUR head) -- a special skill for very nimble kittens. She has an adorable personality. We'd love to introduce you to her. She's fostered in Huntsville, AL. Please email info@FORrescue.net. Thank you for reading about Betty!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Betty Boop, a Homewood Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Homewood, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Homewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
