found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
Thor is making great improvements in his foster home and is proving to be your typical GOOF of a lab puppy. Thor loves to play with other dogs. He is so good natured with them and has a really gentle playing style. He has been having frequent play dates in his fenced in yard and is really loving every minute of it! He sleeps in his crate at night in his foster mom's room and doesn't make a noise. He does whine a bit when he is left alone and crated. After the first few days Thor was given free roam of his foster home when someone is at home and he is doing really well with that. He hasn't had any accidents in the house and is not destructive. He will avoid people when they approach him, but he will approach people to sniff or nibble on their hand, to take a treat, or to smell their hair. He is skittish and will not allow petting (he runs away). Thor doesn't have a mean bone in his body. His gentle nature and hilarious demeanor make him such a perfect companion. He will need some help with socialization in general but he is coming along great! He is begging to jump up onto the "big bed" and he even let his foster mom pull him up for some snuggles, which he thoroughly enjoyed. He has started to seek out affection which is a great turning point for him. He is doing really well with learning to walk on a leash and enjoys his park trips and hikes. Thor is mellow in the house for the most part. He enjoys sleeping on the couch or dog bed or entertains himself with toys, balls, and bones! He would love to live with another playful dog.
Thor's foster mom has taken in a few dogs with similar temperament and nervousness as Thor's. She says that these types of dogs are the most rewarding to foster and adopt. They really are the sweetest little love bugs around once they realize how awesome life can be. As an adopter you have the opportunity to change a life and show a dog who may not have a great past that everything is going to be alright. They make so much progress in such little time, every hour brings new improvements!
Thor hasn't been around cats or kids but we think a home with kids 12 and up would be ideal for him.

The adoption fee is $375.
Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.Thor
