Bonsai's Story...
Hi! My name is Bonsai,
I am a happy boy who is looking for a place to call home. You see my owner could no longer afford my care and took me to a city shelter where my time was up. Boy I am glad these nice people came to help me! I saw dogs go through that door and I hoped it was because they all went home.
I do know my basic commands, walk great on leash and I am clean and non destructive in the home. I love my toys and boy do I love to play. Do you want to play too? I would really love that.
I will need to be an only pet so please no other animals.

If you're interested in me please go to the BEAR website at :
www.bigeastakitarescue.net and put in an application :)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bonsai, a Toms River Akita dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Akita for sale in Toms River, or seeking a Akita dog from a breeder in Toms River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toms River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toms River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Akita breeders who help with Akita rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toms River paves the way for another one to be saved.
