Georgi's Story...
Georgie is the cutest and sweetest 6 month old golden retriever mix girl around. This super sweet young lady was found wandering the streets. A good samaritan contacted Lucky Lab Rescue and told us that she was running in the streets and almost got him by a car several times. We suspect that she was dumped by her previous owner and after one look at this sweet thing, how could we resist taking her in. She has been doing very well in her foster home and gets along wonderful with all of her foster brothers and sisters (human and canine). She is very mild mannered for a puppy of her age and, again, has the sweetest temperament. She will make a great family member and will be sure to please as she looks for that positive human attention and acceptance.

Georgie is crate trained, up to date on all of her vaccinations, spayed and is heartworm negative. She has been socialized with men, women, children and even cats. Georgie is on the small side weighing about 35 to 40 lbs. She still has some growing to do, but she will probably not be a very big girl. If you are looking for a sweet puppy for your family, please fill out an application and request her in the notes section.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Georgi, a Salem Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever for sale in Salem, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
