My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MISTY IS BEING FOSTERED IN THE RICHMOND, VA AREA. PLEASE VISIT OUR WEBSITE WWW.MOMSRESCUEVA.ORG TO COMPLETE AN ADOPTION APPLICATION.
This is Misty! She is a spunky, sweet, puppy-like 18 month old Spaniel/Dachshund mix girl, about 30 pounds and she is a doll! Once you look into those beautiful brown eyes you can’t help but fall under her spell. Misty has had a hard start to her young life, she looked like she had been having puppies since she was just a baby herself and was picked up on the road with one puppy, Molly. They were taken to a small high kill shelter and only given a few days. Other rescues wanted to save the baby, leaving poor Misty behind to face an almost certain death. The AC officer wanted to give them BOTH a chance so she kept them together waited and hoped. On their last day, one of our group members (her foster mom) saw them and decided they BOTH had to be saved and the rest as they say is history! Misty is an amazing girl and so grateful for her new life!! She loves being around people and playing with all the other foster puppies. She likes to play fetch and play with her toys and when she goes outside she always grabs a toy to take with her! Her most favorite thing is belly rubs and snuggling with her family. She is good with kids, other dogs and she even likes the resident Dog savvy cat! She is housebroken, good on a leash and would love to learn more as she is eager to please! She just needs some guidance and of course lots of love and affection. This is a wonderful little girl would make an awesome family pet. She is UTD on medical and ready to start her life with her very own family! Come to our outing and meet Misty!
