Howdy, my name is The Dude. I was in a shelter up north, where a wonderful volunteer noticed me and knew I was just too cool to be euthanized. When no one came to adopt me and my time was up, the volunteer took me home, but it wasn't a long term solution. She contacted P.O.E.T. about me and they just couldn't pass me up.
I might not be a puppy anymore, but I still have a lot of life to live!! I love being outside, laying in the sun. I am not too good at fetch, but I do like chewing on my toys (cow hooves and femur bones are my favorite!). I like car rides and going on short walks, and sit well for being groomed. By far my favorite thing to do is be by my people. I am happiest just laying at your feet or snuggling with you on the couch. I am good with dogs of all sizes, and will do good in just about any home. I haven't met any kitties as far as my POET family knows, but they don't think I would mind them. I am a little hard of hearing which is why they say no small kids... I don't want anyone to sneak up on me and scare me. I do love kids though when I can see them.
I am a sweet old man...I just need someone to take a chance on me. I just want somewhere peaceful where I can live out my golden years. Just like that wonderful volunteer took a chance, then P.O.E.T. took a chance... will you?
