Benji's Story...
Hi, fine peoples! L’il Benji here. I know what your’e thinking: “That ain’t no Jack.” No, I’m not, but I was saved by a volunteer here who loves Jacks … and all dogs for that matter. My family wasn’t taking care of me. I was matted, covered in fleas, and roaming the neighborhood, looking for fun. They decided to let me go and find a better home with someone who will love me.

Since then, I have been groomed and now look ever-so-handsome. I’ve had all my shots and tested negative for heartworm (yay!). Unfortunately, I have a hernia that needs to be removed, my teeth need to be cleaned for the first time ever, and I will need to be “tutored” before I can leave. We just wanted the world to know I’m here and I’m happy.

I’m a young, very sweet boy … and very active. I love playing, belly scratches, treats and (ohhhhh, yeah!) dancing. We’ll have to get a video of that soon!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Benji, a Conyers Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Conyers, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Conyers.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Conyers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Conyers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Conyers paves the way for another one to be saved.
