My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

WE ARE SORRY BUT WE ONLY ADOPT WITHIN THE STATE OF FLORIDA

This handsome devil had the greatest Halloween treat a Husky could ask for; he was rescued by SHRF from a county shelter, who picked him up as a stray.

Buffett is a well behaved boy who has had previous training. He knows the sit, shake, speak, and down commands and will take treats gently from your hand. He is very food motivated and, when excited, he will do an adorable little tap dance with his front paws.

He has a very sweet disposition but don’t let that fool you; he is very energetic and an escape artist. He appears to do well around children of any age, but in his exuberance might inadvertently knock a young toddler over.

Buffett gets along well with other dogs but cats and other small animals are unknowns so caution is advised. He does travel well in the car and likes to move around, wanting to look out all the windows to see what’s going on. If you fasten him in to one area of the car he will eventually get the idea and sit looking out the window watching everything pass by.

Buffett also enjoys going for walks but he needs a little more training walking on lead as he does pull a little bit. This may be due to his new surroundings and eagerness to explore, so he will probably calm down some as he gets used to his new home.

Buffett is healthy, housebroken, Heartworm negative, neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Some people say that owning a Husky helps you live a longer, happier life. Give Buffett a try and maybe add to your longevity; fill out an adoption application on our website, www.siberrescue.com, today.
