BooBoo Kitty's Story...
I have to admit I am still a little bit shy and like to sneak peeks at you from my hidey hole cubby. My name is BooBoo Kitty and I am a sweet and a little shy teenage kitten. Once I feel comfortable I can purr and be a love bug with the best of them. I am a kitten still so have a soft spot for bits of string, crinkled up scraps of paper and fuzzy little things I can bat around. Because of my shyer side I'm looking for a quieter adult home. I am a pretty and petite little girl looking for her prince or princess charming so please stop in today to say hello. Before making the trip to visit the shelter we strongly recommend checking our website for information on adoption policies and procedures. Please understand that because we are a busy place and because so many animals need our care and attention, adoptions are on a first come basis and no animal will be put on hold, we appreciate your understanding and look forward to your visit! To inquire about a pet's availability or for more information please PHONE the shelter (978-283-6055 ex 10 for reception desk) instead of sending emails.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

BooBoo Kitty, a Gloucester Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Gloucester, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Gloucester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gloucester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gloucester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gloucester paves the way for another one to be saved.
