My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DOB June 30, 2014
Buttercup has the most beautiful little cat face! She is super inquisitive and independent; Buttercup loves to play and chase, and when she catches her toy mouse, that mouse is hers and hers alone. But when she purrs, then she is ready to snuggle. When Buttercup is ready for some pampering, she cannot get close enough to you, wriggling into whatever gap is available and purring loudly.

Buttercup had quite a stint at the vet following her spaying operation. Her infected stitches took ages to heal, and it was discovered that she and her siblings had feline leukemia. However, Buttercup’s blood work does not match the kitten, as she is such a vibrant and energetic wee thing. Buttercup has been at her foster parent’s home now for four weeks since the vet visit. Her stomach has healed miraculously, and her energy at times can be insatiable.

She is easy to handle, and would thrive in a place where she wouldn't have to vie for her owner's attention. Buttercup is currently learning how to do cat head butts when she's feeling super affectionate, and she sometimes purrs when she eats, which makes the cutest muffled humming sound.

For a cat with feline leukemia, a single cat home is required and the cat must be an indoor cat for life. Her current foster home would be more than happy to go into more detail of the special care that would be required in caring for Buttercup, as she really is the sweetest little thing and if they weren't leaving the country, they would adopt her themselves.

Due to her FeLuk status, in lieu of our standard adoption fee a donation of your choice is appreciate.
