My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Orson is a sweet little guy that is looking for a forever home. He is so much fun to take on walks with those short little legs going at quite a spunky clip! Orson has a shiny black coat that is soft and easy to manage. He is quite a handsome fellow and is very affectionate. Orson gets along great with other dogs and pays no attention to our cats. Orson’s family should be one that can smile at the quirkier aspects of his personality. He is a very unique dog and likes to talk to you. He would not do well in an apartment because when he hears people around he is sure to start up the conversation. Otherwise, he has great house manners and is crate-trained and housebroken. He loves to have people around and would do fabulously in a large family or with someone that works from home or is retired. Orson rides great in a car and would be a wonderful companion on road trips. We found Orson at a rural shelter in West Virginia. He is 3 years old and weighs 22 lbs. He has been neutered and microchipped and up to date on his shots. He has tested negative for heartworms and is on monthly preventatives for heartworms, fleas and ticks.
