My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nikolaus was a stray picked up in the Austin area. He is a small but very long boy, classic black and tan and very handsome face. Niko likes to be where ever the people are, and he will whine if you leave him behind. He will quietly lay at your feet, or on your lap, and he is very content. Niko could be an only dog, since he prefers humans to other dogs, he just needs someone who is home a lot. He is completely house trained, hasn't had a single accident so far, and he learned my doggie door pretty quickly. Niko is a dog who doens't like to be closed in a crate, although he will go in one if it's left open. When riding in the car he is quiet and calm if he is allowed to be on your lap, he will go right to sleep. If you try to kennel him, he will potty and whine and cry. Niko is calm natured and very loving.
