Bogey's Story...
Bogey is a 2 year old white male who was surrendered to a local shelter partner by his owner. He seems to get along well with other dogs and is crate trained. He has been exposed to children and seemed fine with them. Bogey walks well on a leash if given the "heel" command, knows how to "sit" and gives paw on command. Is is also crate trained and appears to be housebroken. Bogey is extremely affectionate toward everyone in his foster home, but has a tendency to be nervous around adult men he doesn't know. He does warm up quickly, though and is on his way to being a wonderful companion for any dedicated owner. We have Bogey on a exercise plan of multiple walks during the day to lose a little bit of his extra belly weight. Bogey is being fostered by Christian and Hannah in Jacksonville Beach.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bogey, a Jacksonville Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
