My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

When we are asked about a special rescue pup that is snuggly, sweet and very fun-loving, we can't help but think of Frankie. His smile is shining...and maybe just a bit mischievous. We know it's morning when Frankie's little head comes under the blanket...getting closer and closer..and then a huge kiss of love. This curious and really, really smart 18 - 24 month old, 12 lb Yorkie is a truly great companion. There aren't many visible signs that Frankie was in a very scary high-kill shelter. He's sometimes shy and can be a bit uncertain in some situations..but a warm hug and reassuring words..and Frankie bounces back and cuddles just a bit closer.
We picture Frankie as the best friend to retirees. He'd be so loyal.. and overjoyed to share his love and good will. There's also no question that Frankie would be the most popular guy on the block. Once comfortable, he loves to engage and just be his entertaining, adorable self. Even though Frankie, at such a young age, is usually up for pretty much any activity, he's never pushy or yappy. Exercise..perhaps long, leisurely walks or hikes to socialize with neighbors and other dogs...and mental stimulation that comes from his time with his humans is important to this guy to keep him happy and well-behaved. it's not that he requires extensive amounts, just enough to keep him healthy and stimulated. Frankie would also enjoy time with older (12+) dog-loving kids. He's such an easy guy to bring along. You can just scoop him up and he'll lie happily in your arms..or better yet, he'd love to just trot along next to you. Or grab a backpack and Arthur will snuggle down for a long hike with a great view from above.
Frankie derives so much joy from his relationships, we would love to see him in an active family that just loves him dearly...he's a great pup who deserves this in his life. This adorable and really humorous Yorkie is a non-shedder. He will therefore require periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep his stunning gold and black coat cotton-soft and matt-free.

Frankie will be arriving on transport in Denver on 11/7. Applications are currently being accepted and can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/. If you're interested in this sweet and playful companion, please fill out and return to farfelsapps@gmail.com.
