Rocky (CP)'s Story...
Rocky’s original owners moved away and left him behind. His neighbor is currently taking care of him and hoping to find him a great home. Rocky is an affectionate happy boy. He loves to play in a paper bag and chases cat toys. He jumps playfully in the leaves and follows me all around the garden. His favorite things are being brushed and eating canned food. Our four inside cats will not accept him so he has a temporary home in our garage. He cries at the door to come inside so we leave the inside door open and use the screen door to give him a sense of being with us. Since we have taken him in he has put on weight, been brushed daily, has been neutered, had his shots, tested negative for FELV/FIN/HW and has Frontline for fleas and ticks. If you are interested in adopting Rocky or even fostering him, please contact Sharon at 717-243-8985.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky (CP), a Carlisle Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Carlisle, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Carlisle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carlisle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carlisle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carlisle paves the way for another one to be saved.
