Feathers's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Feathers's Story...
Feathers is a young fun loving dog. She has the true personality of a Flat Coat. Juvenile at heart. Loves to play with other dogs and loves attention. She has a very life loving personality. She will talk to you if you ignore her for too long, but a scratch on the ear seems to satisfy her. She will happily sleep with you, but if told no, she is content on the floor beside the bed. She is not a huge fan of her crate but she is adjusting to using it. However she is great when not crated also. She loves to chew, but sticks to bones, hooves and toys. She is very cat interested but doesn't seem to be cat aggressive, and has had minimal exposure. If it wasn't for her touches of white on her chest and back toes (they make her even more adorable)... there would be little doubt of her breed...as it is, we guess. She is completely vetted and ready for FORever. She is fostered in Huntsville, AL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Feathers, a Knoxville Flat-Coated Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Flat-Coated Retriever for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Flat-Coated Retriever dog from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Flat-Coated Retriever breeders who help with Flat-Coated Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
