Hi there! My name is Bella and I am a seven year old, 28 lb whippet/cattle dog mix. My owner had to move yesterday and couldn't take me with her, so, understandably, I'm pretty sad and confused. I may bark and lightly growl initially but I am super friendly, loving, and affectionate-- just a bit scared now that I am in a new place after 7 years with my family. However, I do warm up-- I promise! I I lived with small children and I am good with dogs and cats. I am house trained; I will bark to get your attention and then walk in circles in front of the door to alert you that I need to go out (not to brag but my foster mom says I'm super smart). I do like my crate as I look at it as my place of comfort--the door stays open and my special stuffed animal and my bed from my old home are in there. My foster mom also says that I am also quite the hoarder because I will carry into my crate almost anything left lying on the floor--shoes, jackets, stuffed animals, my leash--you name it, it's fair game if it's on the floor. The great thing is that I just like to snuggle with these goodies--I don't chew them (my foster mom says I am pretty funny. Oh, she also calls me a coyote because she thinks I look like one--you'll have to come meet me in person and tell me if you agree with her! Boy, does this lady have a lot to say!!).
That magical time of the year is fast approaching and all I really want is to find a home where someone will love me forever.
