Chia, a spayed female puppy, 6 months old, 16lbs

I am a super friendly, sweet, and happy dog! I love being around people and am great with dogs of all sizes. I love anyone I meet, good with children as my foster mom’s son is 7 years old, and really playful with other dogs. I am doing extremely well in my foster home and patiently waiting for a loving home.

I am still very young and have not had a good life. I was at a high kill shelter where I was very close to death row. A kind vet student saw my posting and bailed me out. She took good care of me and posted my story on Facebook hoping to find me a good home. Months went by and there was no good news. She was very discouraged and her parents were very upset at her and asked her to send me back to the shelter. She really loves me and didn’t have the heart to see me die. So she found a boarding facility and paid for my fees. However, her money ran out and she was really sad.

My foster mom heard my story and knew it was urgent to rescue me before it’s too late. Her home is full of rescued dogs waiting for homes but she did not have the heart to turn her back at me. My foster mom loves me very much as I am such a sweet girl. She promised me a loving home and will never give up on me. I am a very good dog and praying for a loving home. Please give me a home and a chance to live!

Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in Castro Valley, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in Castro Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Castro Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Castro Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue.
