Amigo's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and not good with cats.

Amigo's Story...
Big fan of: Amigo is a young active dog who loves to get a lot of exercise and keep busy. He also likes to keep his mind stimulated and have activities to do to keep from getting bored. He loves toys of all kinds and can be very playful!

Not a fan of: Amigo is still working on his socialization and can be timid or fearful of loud noises, new situations, and other dogs. He has a very high prey drive and would need a home without cats or small animals.

A little more… This gorgeous boy is excited to get out of the shelter and start his new life. He is housebroken and very clever. He has started working on some obedience here at PAWS and would love to continue his training after he leaves. Training is easy with Amigo since he is so treat motivated. He is very cuddly on his own terms. Amigo would be a fantastic training or workout partner.

Dream home: Amigo is seeking an active, experienced household with children 15 and older and no cats or small animals. He would love an owner with a high interest in training.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amigo, a Chicago Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cattle Dog for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cattle Dog breeders who help with Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
