My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ALICE is a small senior beagle who found herself homeless when her humans were sent to jail for domestic violence. She weighs about 20 lb. We estimate her date of birth to be September 2006. Alice was quite the hunting dog in her day and was bred many times to pass along her talents. She is now spayed, fully-vaccinated and current on monthly flea, tick and heartworm preventives. She is healthy and has a lot of spunk, so she has quite a few years left to be someone's loving companion. Alice is heartworm negative. She'll need a fenced yard if she goes outside off-leash; otherwise, she'll be tracking wildlife (her nose still works quite well). She has a sweet, quiet, gentle, somewhat shy temperament, and is very friendly once she knows you. Alice is crate-trained, leash-trained and house-trained (except for occasional marking incidents). She tolerates other non-aggressive dogs well but doesn't want to play much, especially given that the other dogs in her foster home are considerably larger. She gets along well with the household cats. Alice doesn't ask for much. She loves to sit quietly with her human and really enjoys her walks on leash. She is a good dog who would be an excellent companion for a person living a quiet, settled life. This is a courtesy posting. This dog is not affiliated with P.S. I Love You! Animal Rescue but is fostered by another party. For more information, please contact Janel Miller at dogrefuge@gmail.com.
