My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am an 11-month-old neutered male Bichon Frise/Poodle mix. I weigh about 16 pounds.

I am a very sweet, loving, gentle pup. And, a big snuggler. I have the best personality ever! You won’t find a kinder dog than me. I promise! You want proof? Here it is!

The shelters in the area do what’s called a mobile pet adoption event. The staff expects you to be proper ladies and gentlemen when out interacting with the public. Only the very best dogs get to go. And guess who was chosen to go to the last one? That’s right – me!

Now that you know I am a really great dog, let me tell you a little about my recent history. I ended up in the pound when someone found me wandering the streets of LA. They brought me to a local high-kill shelter in order to get me off the streets before I was injured or killed. The shelter was scary, but it beat living on the streets. At least I was fed and had shelter.

I wasn’t in the greatest condition when I showed up at their doorstep. My hair was matted and I was covered in fleas. I was pretty gross. They cleaned me up a bit, and gave me flea medicine and a cot to sleep on.

After about a week at the shelter the staff sent me to the ASPCA to be neutered. Once again, only the best dogs get sterilized before they get adopted. There’s something really special about me, I’m telling you!

Sadly, I didn’t find my forever home at the adoption event, but CageFree Rescue heard about me and decided to take me in. So now I’m here, hanging out with all my friends while I wait for my new family to adopt me.

Oh, I should mention, I get along great with other dogs, too! Can’t forget that.

If you think I would make a great addition to your family, please don’t hesitate to contact CageFree and let them know that you want to meet me! I’ll be waiting.
