Matilda-Courtesy post's Story...
Matilda is in need of a new home. She is crate trained (crate included). She does very well with kids and can do well with larger submissive dogs, but would probably do best as an only pet. I adopted her 4 1/2 years ago from a shelter. She was neglected as a puppy and is shy, but warms up quickly. She walks well on a leash when using a training collar and enjoys camping and hiking, but is also content to just lounge around the house. This has not been an easy decision for me and i would be happy to stay in touch and dog sit whenever you needed. There will be a $50.00 adoption fee which will be donated to Stray Rescue or and rescue of your choice. If you are interested in meeting Tillie, please email me. A home visit will be required.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Matilda-Courtesy post, a ST LOUIS American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in ST LOUIS, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in ST LOUIS.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in ST LOUIS already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a ST LOUIS breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in ST LOUIS paves the way for another one to be saved.
