I am a 1 & 1/2 year old spayed female Dachshund/Chihuahua mix. I weigh about 7 pounds. I’m a petite gal with a big personality! I’m always wagging my tail with excitement and enthusiasm about the world. I’m a dachshund so investigation is the name of the game with me!
I’m playful, loving, excitable, sweet, and I love people and dogs alike! I’m an all-around great dog.
There’s very little background information on me, but I’ll tell you what I know. I was found wandering the streets of a not-so-nice area of LA. Trust me, it wasn’t anything close to Bel Air or Beverly Hills. Animal Control was called out and I was taken to a local high-kill shelter.
I spent about a week there. If you’ve never been to a pound before, let me tell you, they are loud and chaotic. Definitely not a place you’d like to vacation at.
Because I am such an amazing pup, I was sent to be spayed prior to anyone expressing any interest in me. Usually, the shelters won’t bother spending the money to sterilize a dog before they’re adopted, unless they’re sure that the dog will be adopted in the future. Sadly, they just don’t have the funds to sterilize them all.
Once my surgery site was healed, I was taken to a mobile pet adoption event in hopes that I would find my forever home. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. However, CageFree heard about me and decided to welcome me into their rescue. Thank goodness!
I now spend my days hanging out with all my friends while I wait for my new family to adopt me.
