Esme's Story...
Name: Esme
Color: Tan
Breed: Short Coat Chihuahua
Gender: Female
Age: 3 Years
Esme is a sweet little girl looking for a quiet, loving home.
Big fan of: She is a timid girl but once she gets to know you she definitely wants to be a lap dog. She loves her people and will likely be a very loyal companion.
Dream Home: She can be a bit bossy with other dogs; she would do better as an only dog or with a submissive male who doesn't mind coming second to the queen. Esme would not be a good match for children as she gets overwhelmed with loud noises and when approached too quickly. A quiet adult home really would be the best match for her. She probably would do fine with cats, since most chihuahuas do and because she doesn't seem interested in chasing.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Esme, a Bellingham Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
