My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Indianapolis, IN**

LOCKE was found as a tiny puppy earlier this summer walking down a busy street with maggots in his legs, his owners were found, and he was surrendered but he had already contracted Parvo. He spent 5 days at the vet and miraculously pulled through. Now he is growing like a weed, he is around 6 months old weighing in at 35lbs. Locke is black with a splashes of white on his chest, face, and paws, with the most gorgeous floppy ears. We have no idea what he is mixed with, we guess Pit Bull & Lab, and we suspect he will grow to be a big boy.

He has been living with his doggy foster sister, who has been helping to teach him how to be a good, social puppy while his human foster dad has taught him his manners, crate trained, potty trained him, and given him love and attention. Locke is incredibly smart, a quick learner, and very food motivated for training. Since being rescued he has lived indoors as a family dog, and he will always be an inside dog. He loves playing with his toys and has quickly figured out every food puzzle he's been given.

Locke is a sweet boy with big soulful brown eyes & aside from beating Parvo, his only other medical concern has been struggles with mild allergies. Those are under control now but will need lifetime attention-- not costly, managed with grain free food, fish oil, and OTC allergy meds. Locke is active and goes on regular runs with his foster dad. He is playful and loving. Locke will be ready for adoption after Saturday 10/25. Locke is very much still a puppy and loves to play, he will require regular exercise and mental stimulation. Locke LOVES people and dogs, he has not been introduced to cats yet nor been around small children. If an interested adopter has cats or small kids- we will test him with both to see how he does.

Adoptable dogs are always spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, heartworm tested (excluding dogs under 6m but Locke has been on monthly preventative), dewormed, groomed, and in general good physical and behavioral health.
He is available for adoption in Indianapolis, IN and surrounding areas, his adoption fee will be $125. Please contact for more information on Locke or to fill out an application & schedule a meet and greet. All resident dogs must be spayed/neutered, UTD on vaccines, on preventatives, and live indoors. Adoption process includes application, reference check, home check, meet and greet, and contract.

Locke is a great puppy in need of a forever home.
