Penelope's Story...
Pretty Penelope... Penelope was rescued from a local animal control facility on her last day. Penelope is a 'unique' beauty; she has a very thick, velvety coat- a little upturned nose, and she looks to always be smiling. Penelope is the first to greet you as you come home...as sweet as she is, she is also an independent kitty too (prefer an 'older' children or no children household). She may talk to you at times or just be content lounging next to you...purring and rubbing for your attention. Estimated DOB is February, 2012, she is spayed, current on her vaccines, dewormers and flea/tick prevention. Combo tested negative. Litter box trained. Good with dogs and cats alike. Available for meeting and adoption with an approved preadopt only! Inquiries please email Christine at info@southeastrescue.org . Learn more about Penelope. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penelope, a Newnan Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Newnan, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Newnan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newnan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newnan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newnan paves the way for another one to be saved.
