Honey's Story...
Honey is the sweetest dog loves everyone and loves to give kisses and hugs ! Loves to follow you around mellow, happy very loyal dog. I almost think that she seems grateful that she was saved. When we were watching the video of where she came from and heard the dogs barking she starting barking which she hadn't since she came to my house. I really hope she finds a home good with kids, dogs and even a older person very gently on leash and and around the house. We think honey os about 6 months old. She was a shelter favorite

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Honey, a Wappingers Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd for sale in Wappingers, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Wappingers.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wappingers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wappingers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wappingers paves the way for another one to be saved.
