Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tux is a handsome Boston boy about 2 years old, weighing around 25 lbs. He's got a lot of energy and would need a family that can give him a lot of exercise and play time. He'd be a great running buddy!
Tux gets along with other dogs, but he does try to show his dominance and plays very rough. His ideal home would be one with bigger dogs or as an only dog. Tux is not good with cats. He is very smart and has taken well to learning some basic commands.
Tux would also be best in a home without small children. He desperately needs to be an active part of your life. He would not do well if you are just looking for a couch potato.
Tux is very playful and loves to chew, so you will need lots of chew toys! He's never chewed up anything he's not supposed to, but if he were left alone, he might. He also likes to lay on the couch with you and give lots of kisses when he's tired. He likes to be rewarded with treats when he's being a good boy. He also likes to go on walks to see what's happening in the world. He needs to go on a few more to get the hang of not pulling. And he loves to ride in the car!
He is potty trained and crate trained. He needs that quiet time in the crate when you are away. If left out alone, he may be destructive. He whines about it for a minute and then he's fine.
Tux is up to date on all his vaccinations, is neutered, micro-chipped and heartworm negative. For more information on Tux, call Rebecca at 843-442-4233. To adopt Tux, visit http://www.bostonrescueofsc.org/ and fill out the adoption application. Tux 's adoption fee is $300.
