Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Age: 3 years
Gender: Male
Color: Liver & White
Weight: 50 lbs
Variety: Field
Hank is a super affectionate boy who loves to spend evenings curled up next to his foster family. Despite his fifty-pound size, he thinks he is a lap dog, and he will position himself with his head as close to yours as he can get. Hank loves three things: swimming, snuggling, and being a loyal friend. He is a very handsome dog with soft, silky hair. Hank’s ideal family will be one that is familiar with dog behavior and dog training, as Hank will try to establish dominance if rules are not in place. However, once he knows who the leader is, he is a perfect gentlemen. Hank loves riding in cars, and he will be happy to go everywhere with you. He gets along fine with his sister Springers, and he previously lived with a cat.
Hank was found as a stray, and he tends to follow his nose. His ideal Forever Home will have a fenced in yard. Hank is the best buddy a person could have, as he wants to be right near his family at all times. He loves to cuddle! He also enjoys going for walks and runs, and swimming is his favorite outdoor activity.
When Hank originally came into rescue, he had difficulty meeting new dogs. He was protective of his foster family. However, after working with his foster family, Hank has started to learn that sniffing can be friendly. We're happy to report that he has acquired several canine friends. Hank's Forever Family should be prepared to continue with his socialization by taking him on dog walks and to parks, etc.
Hank will be the perfect dog for a family with a fenced yard if that family is looking for an energetic and fun-loving Springer. He is a great companion and will always manage to make you smile day after day. Oh--and he will lick your face in the morning if your alarm doesn't go off!
Please note that an approved adoption application is the first step in a more thorough interview process that is designed to match each dog to exactly the right family, and that the final decision rests with the dog's case manager.
