Tucker is in Rhode Island for his meet and greets. He is UTD on his shots, neutered, about 38 lbs, less than 1 y.o ( we believe, about 7-8 months) and all smiles and love and is AMAZING. He would make a FABULOUS running, hiking partner or someone with an active fun lifestyle. He gets along with most other dogs and would do well in a home with a well behaved dog, though not necessary.
He was discarded and left at a high kill shelter in the south and luckily everyone there fell in love with him and contacted Just Doodles and Friends for rescue. He is a real love bug and still acts like a puppy. Today he had a training lesson with our great trainer, Audrey from Top Dog K9 Training. She assessed him as a quick learner, eager to please. He now walks nicely on the leash, beginning to learn sit and PLACE commands. I know he has the makings to be a fabulously off leash trained dog. Tucker is well on his way to be the best forever dog.
I think his favorite activity is taking the dog toys out of the basket and rearranging them all over the house and yard. We can't wait to find his forever and watch him blossom..
We are really unsure of what kind of a dog he is,..our groomer, thinks a Tibetian terrier mix...HIGHLY DESIRABLE !!! no wonder I thought doodle!! Whatever breed he is a fabulous MUTT!!

We do not transport dogs out of the area. We ask that you live within 70 miles of the dog's location. We are an all volunteer organization and can only respond when a completed application is filed. We do list our requirements, so please read carefully. Sometimes the ad states the date the dog is expected to arrive into Rhode Island....so please don't be discouraged if you don't hear right back. All dogs are adopted through contract.
WE DO REQUIRE A PHYSICAL FENCE for most dogs as they have gotten used to be outside.
Once we have reviewed your application and think it is a match we will notify you. Please understand that as these dogs are fostered we do get to know them and have a good idea of their forever home. We do NOT save applications, but you may put multiple names on one applciation. We do not choose by a first come first serve basis. So if the dog is still up on the site, consider the dog AVAILABLE. We do take down quickly when adopted.
