Fred's Story...
Fred is a male 2 year old fawn colored Chihuahua. Fred is feisty, fun, festive and fabulous. He interacts nicely with all the humans he meets and is just a social butterfly in any group. He is bursting with energy and is extremely interested in all that goes on...he's a smart, smart boy who makes excellent eye contact and listens to your every word. Fred walks OK on a leash but likes to lead the way. He knows to sit but sometimes it's just barely before he's up and off again. He enjoys toys, play and kennels well. Fred has one big wish and just wants to find a fur-ever home for Christmas. Good things come in small packages and this would be one cute packaged pup tucked under your tree.

If you want to apply for Fred click here. You can then email the application to the Meridian Valley Humane Society. Applications are now being accepted, and a visitation with the dog is encouraged.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fred, a Meridian Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
