Scamp's Story...
Hello World,
My name is Scamp and I’m a darling bichon boy of about two or, as my foster Mom says, a fun-loving little guy in avery cute package!!!
Mom says I LOVE playing with other dogs, enjoy fetch and tug-of-war, like chasing my doggy foster sisters and love ALL toys. I’m also a bit of a rascal (which is why I’m named Scamp.) You see, I like to race to the toy basket and play ‘steal the rubber piggy’ (that’s everyone’s favorite toy at the moment.) And when Mom hides it, I will hunt for it forever (until she finally relents and then we start all over again.) Whee! That’s fun.
Dad says I'm a natural explorer (in the great outdoors) but also quick to jump on the couch for a big time snuggle! (Mom says I love being held and would gladly stay in your lap for hours on end!) At night I sleep in my crate with my blankie – but would love to sleep in the Big People’s Bed someday!
I enjoy my doggy foster sisters and the companionship of my people (and new people too, once I get to know them). Mom says I’m "working on being housebroken." I'm not sure what that means because I promise I haven't broken anything in the house! She says I’m smart and want to please, so I’ll be done with this challenge in no time at all.
I’ve learned to walk well on a leash, am GREAT in the car and am practicing my commands, too. (I already come when I’m called and am learning ‘sit’!) Most of all Mom and Dad want you to know that I am about eleven pounds of fun, who is happy, loveable, trusting and cuddly.
So if you are looking for a little love of a guy with eyes that shine and who has tons of promise and you have another furkid at home for me to play with, then please ask for me. I am waiting to meet you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scamp, a La Costa Bichon Frise dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bichon Frise for sale in La Costa, or seeking a Bichon Frise dog from a breeder in La Costa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in La Costa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a La Costa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bichon Frise breeders who help with Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in La Costa paves the way for another one to be saved.
