Here's what the humans have to say about me:
"Are you looking for an adorable little dog with a heart of gold? Well, you found me! My name is SOOKIE, and I'm a two-year-old terrier mix who's as sweet as they come. If you're looking for a little lap dog to give you comfort, then I'm your girl! I'm quite small with a shiny, black coat, so it might be a little hard to see me in my kennel when I'm curled up in my bed. If you ask the nice people here at the El Cajon Animal Shelter, we can go out to the play yard to spend some time getting better acquainted. You'll find that I'm a little shy at first, but it only takes me a short time to warm up to new people. You'll find that I'm loving, affectionate, happy, and good-natured. I'd be a wonderful family pet in a home with older, considerate kids, and I'd be a friendly companion for another dog. I know how to sit on command, and the shelter staff is fairly certain that I've already been house trained. I might need a quick refresher course in my new home, but I'm a smart dog who'll figure things out very quickly. Please take some time to come visit me. You'll see that I can bring you love and tranquility. Love, Sookie" Kennel #55
