Meet Rubble! He appears to a retriever mixed with possibly border collie but its just a guess. He is great, really. He's easy-going but playful. He loves to lounge on the sofa (or a dog bed, but he prefers the sofa). We put him in the crate at night, and he keeps quiet and handles it well. He's not great on the leash, but his foster has been working with him. He says he's better if you run instead of walk - for now, anyway. I would say he's good for any age (as in, I don't think he's too rough for younger kids). House trained (no issues at all). Uses doggy door. No food aggression at all. Submissive but still tries to get his way when he wants to play.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rubble, a Staunton Golden Retriever/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Border Collie for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Border Collie breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
