My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Millie!
Millie is a gorgeous, one-year-old pittie mix who just happens to be deaf. She knows some hand signals and wants to be a good girl, but needs a forever family who is dedicated to helping her learn the manners ever good pup knows!

Millie is good around dogs and cats, but gets stressed out around small children. This playful, boisterous girl would do best in a home with a fenced yard and a family committed to her training. While a fenced home isn't required, safety measures will need to be in place to accommodate Millie's special needs.

This sweet girl won't let deafness stop her -- she'd make a wonderful addition to a patient home committed to helping her be her best. Could it be yours?

Millie’s adoption fee is $100 and she’s located in Milwaukee, WI. Because all our Cupids are fostered in private homes, an approved application MUST be on file before proceeding with a meet-and-greet. The online application can be found at http://www.caninecupids.org/adopt-.html.

Our Thoughts on Visual Breed Identification
Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable. For most of our adoptable Cupids we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We think it’s most important is to get to know each dog as an individual! We then do our best to describe each of our adoptable Cupids based on their personalities in order to determine whether they’ll make good companions based on prospective adopters’ lifestyles. Dog behavior is not exclusive to breed — it’s a complex mix of nature and nurture.
