Kitchi is a handsome lion that is a big baby at heart. He is a true blue sweetheart who will claim your heart with his big beautiful eyes and long majestic mane. His name rings true to his personality, as Kitchi is translated as "brave".

Always the one to explore before his brother Achak, he will make himself right at home with guests. Very curious and playful, his favorite game is "Attempt Catching the Hand under the Blanket". Not quite a lap cat, Kitchi much prefers to sit quietly by your side as you work at your desk, or curl up next to you on the couch. He enjoys his neck and chin being scratched the most. If you withdraw for a moment, he is not against reminding you of your true priorities by gently nudging at you with a paw until you resume petting. I honestly don't even know if Kitchi has a voicebox, he's so quiet. He's not opposed to being held as well, so long as you remember to scratch under his chin during the entire ordeal. Kitchi loves to gently headbutt you and watch you brush your teeth.

Kitchi would make a great addition to any home that needs a quiet companion by their side who has a lot of affection to give. It would be best if Kitchi was adopted with his brother Achak, as they will keep each other company while you are gone, and burn off energy so they can be cuddly piles for when you get back.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kitchi, a Vancouver Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
