Tessa is one of our special cases, as she was hit by a car. She has been recovering in foster care and is a true fighter. She loved cuddling on the couch and in bed with you and enjoys sunbathing a little each day. She does great with other dogs and kids. She is super sweet. Tessa is in need of FHO surgery and has online account where funds are being raised for her surgery. I was scheduled to be euthanized, but San Antonio Pets Alive! saved me and now they are helping me find the forever, loving home that I have never known.
I am currently located at San Antonio Pets Alive!, and I am in need of a foster home or forever adoptive home. By fostering or adopting me, you not only give me a new leash on life; you also save the life of the additional dog who can be rescued from euthanasia and placed in my safe kennel.
If you are interested in fostering or adopting, please come visit me at 4710 HWY 151 (Building One) at Animal Care Services in San Antonio, Texas.

You'll receive a copy, too, at to help you keep track of which pets you've inquired about, and which shelters and rescues you've emailed.
NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures, on the pet's details page on Adopt-a-Pet.com.
