Bobby's Story...
Bobby is a bob tailed (He has about a half tail) domestic short haired black male kitty. He is approximately 3 months old and is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. He is great with kids and other cats. He and his siblings, along with his momma, were rescued from the shelter when he was still a tiny nursling. They have been raised indoors in a loving foster home. He is just the cutest, happiest little guy and is ready to go home!

His adoption fee is only $40. Donations allow us to keep our adoption fees low and help more homeless pets.
He's available for adoption at the Weatherford Petsmart, which is open seven days a week. Please check with the store for directions and hours of operation (817-598-0702). They do not process adoptions the last hour before closing. Adoption fees must be in cash. Please bring a cat carrier with you or plan to purchase one at the store. For their safety, all adopted kitties must leave in a pet carrier. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bobby, a Weatherford Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Weatherford, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Weatherford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Weatherford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Weatherford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Weatherford paves the way for another one to be saved.
