Abby's Story...
If you want a friendly, fun-loving girl who is curious about the world, then I am the dog for you. I love everything - people, children and other dogs. My great upbeat personality would make me a welcome addition to any home. Since I am young, I do need plenty of exercise and would love to have it with another doggie playmate or long walks, maybe runs, with my person. I am learning all my good dog manners and if you come meet me, you will find a dog that will add liveliness and love to your home. My current weight is 41 lbs and my edob 12/13.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abby, a Houston Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Houston, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
