My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, I’m Coco! I am 8 years young weighing in at 8 lb. I am a bit reserved at first, but I'm becoming more and more open since I've met several really nice humans who pet me, hold me, and give me treats. I give them kisses, kisses. But I will stop and put my head on your neck or cheek if my kisses get overwhelming. I like my crate and often go there for a nap. I'm now out during the day with my Papillon friends, but don't mind being crated. I now like to sleep in my crate at night – my foster Mom moves around too much. However, I do take short naps cuddled up next to her. I make the cutest sounds when I'm getting impatient for food, going outside, or treats. Recently, I took all of the toys out of the toy box in the kitchen and put them in the bedroom or in my crate so I knew where they were. I enjoy walks, but need to go very far. I get tired and have a bit of arthritis. I like to sit on the screened porch and nap in the sun. I get bouts of friskyness and run around the house. I like getting on the back of the couch so I can see outside in comfort. As long as I'm taken out on a regular basis – every 3 to 4 hours, I'm able to NOT potty in the house. However, I do use a piddle pad in times of emergency. While I love my Papillon friends, I would do great as an only dog because then I could get ALL of the attention, food, and treats. What I want most is someone to love and cuddle me. I'll sit right by your side when you watch TV. But, I'll go lay down somewhere else if you want me to. I'd be the perfect companion for someone who is home all day. I don't live where there's a fenced yard, but I'm sure I'd love one – even if I take a quick lap around the yard and then sit/sleep in the shade – preferably with you. CoCo is up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, heart worm negative, on heart worm preventative, microchipped, had a dental, and de-wormed. CoCo’s adoption fee is $225.00. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport, WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS.
