Danny's Story...
This is Dan or Danny Boy. He has a stripe down his back which becomes a cool white mohawk when he's happy/excited/scared, and gorgeous green eyes. He's a 'special condition' cat because he's for the experienced cat person who ideally lives in a relatively quiet home alone or with another cat adoring person, with no kids or dogs. Another cat might be okay but only if introduced over a period of weeks. If he's scared or not comfortable, he may take a while to acclimate and trust you. Then his true playful and loving nature will surface. Danny had to be fearful of humans to survive when he was on the streets. Now that he's been neutered and placed in a foster home, he absolutely LOVES the safety, luxury, and constant food supply indoors. for more information on Dad please email palstnrm@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Danny, a San Marcos Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in San Marcos, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in San Marcos.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Marcos already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Marcos breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Marcos paves the way for another one to be saved.
